Architectural Artifacts Available for Re-Use and Requested for Recycling
 
Remodeling? Expanding? Looking for a particular item to maintain your home's historical look, or repairing your historic Kenwood Craftsmen bungalow?  Don't throw re-usable items away.  Recycle them with us.  Historic Kenwood Preservation has formed a task force to collect and photograph such items and make them available to fellow Kenwoodians free-of-charge.

 

Types of architectural artifacts available for re-use and requested for collection include:

  • Doors (interior and exterior)
  • Door knockers
  • Windows (sash, jalousie, Miami, weights)       
  • Jalousie glass
  • Exterior window screens                
  • Church key locks
  • Glass door knobs                   
  • Bricks or pavers
  • Wood moldings, railings or baseboards
  • Hinges
  • Octagonal sidewalk pavers
  • Cabinet Hardware
  • Light fixtures (1900's-40's era)
  • Tile (ceramic, porcelain, clay Cuban)
  • Cast iron railings/gates
  • Fireplace mantels
  • Outside Wood Siding
  • Or any vintage 1900's - 40's era building items
